THIS IS YOUR CITY. OWN IT.

NYC has gotten really hard to live in. That’s nothing 8.5 million of us can’t fix.

You’ve Seen It:

E-bikes racing down our sidewalks. Wrong way bicycle in bike lanes. Dogs doing their business where we walk. Horns blaring in traffic jams. People crossing the street engrossed in their phone. . .

New York Is Back–Almost.

Coming out of a spell of quarantine and isolation, many of us seem to have forgotten how to behave among other people.

WHO’S GOING TO FIX THIS?

We are. The ability to turn this around is in our hands. We need to act like we own the place. Because we do. New York City is our home. And when New Yorkers come together on an issue, we’re a force to reckon with.

Simply put, our city is suffering a loss of common courtesy. And when we become more considerate of the people around us, life in NYC becomes more rewarding.

HOW DO WE GET BACK TO OUR WAY OF LIVING?

Try acting the way you want others to act. Talk about this need for common courtesy with your friends and neighbors. Share this message. Get your community board involved.

This is a person by person, neighborhood by neighbor-hood effort. Each of us can come up with ideas that work. And don’t keep them to yourselves. New Yorkers had a good thing going. The pandemic did a number on us and other cities. But we toughed it out and kept going.

We need some of that tough love. We need it more than ever.

Let’s get back to being New York again.
